This past September, we had the opportunity to visit Lakeridge Winery for their Harvest Fest. I’m not one to appreciate wine, and had a really nice time. Actually, I fell in love with their Southern Red. Shocking. Ever since then, I always have a couple of bottles on hand, right next to the Manischewitz.
When I was there, they had Grape-stomping contests. That was fun because I saw an senior citizen beat children! During my time at the winery, I participated in a tasting, and tour (both were free for everyone).
This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (November 8th-10th) is their 23rd Annual Holiday Open House .
Friday Nov 8th, 2013 10 am – 5 pm
Saturday Nov 9th, 2013 10 am – 5 pm
Sunday Nov 10th, 2013 11 am – 5 pm
There will be Crafters and Local Artists through out the property. Savor the day with live music, variety of food, beer, and wine. I’m not sure what kind of cuisine will be featured at this event. When I was there, they had about ten tents with an assortment of food. I enjoyed my Greek lunch and my little sister had the fattest crab cake that I’ve ever seen.
The winery has a ample parking, but if all of Central Florida decided to show up, you may park on the grassy field.
