I met this precious little guy at Lakeridge Winery . He currently lives in The Villages, where he is training to become a Southeastern Guide Dog . Atlas will live with his adoptive parents for a year. Their ultimate goal is to teach him 21 commands so he can be a guide dog for someone who is visually impaired. Right now, he loves anything that moves and gives him attention. He’s so lovable!
I like Atlas so much and believe in Southeastern Guide Dogs, that I decided to join their team for their walkathon to raise money. It will be at The Villages on March 15th, 2014.
This organization relies on 100% private donations. They do not use government funding, nor do they charge their students a dime for their services.
Atlas, and many other dogs will impact someone’s life tremendously. I’ve got to experience it first hand with Michael’s service dog, Ru.
Your help would be appreciated! 🙂
