This past week, I wrote a list of things I needed to work on. Most of my list were details/finishing touches to complete my home office. I also noticed this past year that I’m not good with relying on electronic calendars and reminders. It’s so easy for me to dismiss reminders and completely ignore my calender all together. I’m awful, I’m also old school. I’ve been using a planner since Middle School, I’m a creature of habit. I went to Target (my second home!) in search of a planner. When I first enter Target, I always have to check out the Dollar Bins. It’s like Target knew I needed office supplies, check out my goodies!
Thank You/Note Cards, $1 each. This year, I started randomly picking up Thank You, Blank, and Birthday cards. You have no idea how much time I save by doing this. I was one of those people that couldn’t get a card out in the mailbox because I didn’t have time to go to the store and pick up a set. Let’s face it, at the end of the day, Thank You cards are the last thing on your mind, especially if you don’t own any! I’d also stress out whenever I’d get invited to a last minute birthday party. I send out Thank You cards like a mad woman now. One, because it’s the right thing to do. Two, it’s nice getting a handwritten thank you. I enjoy making people’s day. Everyone appreciates this gesture, trust me.
These cute little note pad/sticky pads were also $1 each. I’ve completely ran out. Sarah always gets me cute, little random note pads. My Justin Bieber (ha!) notepad is donezo. I had started writing notes on computer paper a few weeks ago..how awful is that?
This set of mechanical pencils and chalk marker were also $1 each.
Note pad $3
Desk Calender $3
I prefer desk calendars over wall calendars because you can hide them. No one needs to know my business, and having a calendar on my wall reminds me of being underage.
Those are all of my Dollar Bin goodies, not bad!
I’m such a Diva when it comes to my pens. I only buy Sharpie Pens. They have plain black & blue, but I would like color for my planner.
And here’s my new planner by Sugar • Paper, LosAngeles . I absolutely love it!
I urge everyone to start thinking about the new year. Right now is the perfect time to get organized, especially since Christmas is around the corner, and then New Years….
And no, I’m not saying goodbye to my iCal, I will implement my planner into my life too. We will all work together in perfect harmony!
I still have a bunch of things to work on, I hope I can update you all soon! 🙂
