Hey Ladieeees (and some gents)!
I wanted to share my Julep Maven Box with you all.
Instead of getting something from my Maven Style Profile, I decided to get some goodies from the Boudoir Collection because the colors they had were so lovely.
What I’ve always loved about Julep Maven is their beautiful packaging.
Not only did I order three nail polishes, but I also got their Vanish Cuticle Softener & Remover, TA DA! Quick Dry Drops, and my all time favorite Julep Essential Cuticle Oil.
Vanish Cuticle Softener & Remover
I’ve used this product twice and I’m indifferent. It works, but it doesn’t exactly wow me. It’s watery (picture below), but I’m accustomed to thicker consistency.
TA DA! Quick Dry Drops
What I liked about the TA DA! drops was that it works great, and instead of brushing on a drying polish (which is what I normally use), you simply use a dropper to drop the solution on your nails. In the past, I have smudged my fresh manicure a time or two, so I really like the dropper application!
Julep Essential Cuticle Oil
Julep Essential Cuticle Oil is why I’m hooked on this brand. This is one of my favorite products ever, you can always find Essential Cuticle Oil in my purse. What makes this product so convenient is the roller-ball application. It’s very moisturizing and smells delicious.
It’s great that you can swatch the product
Stars of the show. The bottles are chic and simple.
Soft Lavender Satin
Light Peony Pink Silk
Old Hollywood gold shimmer
Here is a swatch of Mae, Abigail, and Margot. I took this picture indoors.
And here it is in the sunlight
These colors are absolutely gorgeous!
I’m wearing my favorite, Abigail. The funny thing is, I’m not really into shimmer, but I think this is beautiful and classic.
I’m very satisfied with my box. If you don’t know what Julep Maven is all about, let me fill you in.
From their site:
Julep Nail Color is “4-free” and does not contain formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, or DBP. Our professional chip-resistant formulation is fast drying and highly pigmented. Julep nail color is a fun way to make the season’s latest shades accessible to everyone. And because we’ve tested our trend-setting toxin-free colors and products in over 100,000 manicures and pedicures in our parlors, we have a good idea of what works and what our clients love.
Personally, I am all for toxin free products. I’ve been using toxin free cleaning products for many years now and sometimes the beauty products are a turn off. Whether the packaging is plain and ugly or the quality of the product is simply not up to par with regular cosmetics, which is a shame. Before I purchased my first Maven Box a couple years ago, I didn’t know they were toxin free, I just thought the colors were pretty.
I have a couple cons though:
1. My Mae polish was a bit on the thick side.
2. I’m still not sure about the Vanish Cuticle Softener & Remover. This is a picture to show you how watery the product is.
My Boudoir Collection was $29, but usually a Maven box is $19.99 a month. When you become a member, you do a survey which determines your Style Profile. Between the 20th-24th of every month, you can preview your style, upgrade, or switch styles. If you don’t want nail polish or product that month, you may skip that month. In your Maven Box, you will receive over $40 of product for $19.99. Members also get exclusive offers like free shipping and 20% at Julep . Another fun incentive is, every time you invite a friend who becomes a Maven, they give you 1000 Jules. Two friends becoming Mavens= 2000 Jules. That’s enough for a free box for you!
Here is my invite if you’d like to join. Are you a Julep Maven? If so, what are your favorite products? Comment below!
