I’m not a vegan, but I eat many vegan meals and snacks. Unfortunately, I’ve had vegan snacks that weren’t so tasty. Because of my past experiences, I was skeptical, but I’m always open minded. Let’s just say Double Chocolate Decadence and Luscious Lemon Poppyseed cookies became an instant fave. What I loved about these cookies is that they’re moist, chewy, true to flavor, and taste better than regular cookies. My husband who was never into vegan choices would eat them all up. Here’s the kicker, after a couple of months of consuming these cookies, I told him they were vegan and he didn’t believe me.
Because I cannot eat gluten, I only ate these cookies once in awhile. 🙁 It was so hard to stay away from them, so finally one day, I emailed Alternative Baking Company asking if they’ve ever considered making gluten-free cookies….
I got a reply saying that they do have gluten-free cookies and they would be happy to send me some..what?!
This is a close up of the middle of the Double Chocolate Decadence cookie. I stole this from Sergio to take a picture. Ha! It reminds me of a brownie, but not as soft. It’s hard to explain but Alternative Baking Company mastered the art of making the perfect soft cookies!
Pro Tip: Pop them in the microwave for a few seconds for a warm treat =)
You don’t need to be a vegan to appreciate these cookies. They’re so tasty, but don’t have eggs, dairy, trans fats, or cholesterol.
