I just found out NOW that May is Celiac Awareness Month .
So, for all of you people who can’t eat gluten like myself, you can just imagine how I felt when I saw these two products in the freezer section at my local grocery store. I stopped myself from stocking up my freezer because I wasn’t sure if these were going to be a let down.
Let’s be honest, most of the gluten-free products I’ve tried are not that great, especially bread. Sometimes I fool myself into thinking it’s good and then Sergio or someone else will make a sandwich out of my gluten-free bread and ask how I could consume crumbly cardboard. One time, I bought a gluten-free Paleo bread that I like to call “fail-eo bread” because the middle was mushy, even after I baked it through the depths of hell.
The one thing I miss the most are baguettes. A couple of friends suggested that I bake my own, but again, let’s be honest. I am not a baker and gluten-free baking is hard.
Let’s move on to my review
Udi’s Gluten-Free Classic French Dinner Rolls (Wheat, Dairy, Soy & Nut FREE)
You preheat your oven at 400 degrees
Bake the dinner rolls at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes. I baked for 15 minutes.
This comes out
OH EM GEE
They looked, felt, smelled and tasted like real dinner rolls. Sergio loved them too!
On to the French Baguettes
Crispy & Delicious French Baguettes
Wheat, Dairy, Soy, & Nut FREE
About a week later, I introduced these bad boys.
Again, preheat your oven at 400 degrees.
Bake your baguettes at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes… I baked all the way to 15 minutes.
Another winner. Felt, looked, smelled, and tasted like a real baguette. They really were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Perfection! I had to share this with people who can eat gluten and pick on me……they also loved this bread. I was told to stock up and always have this at the house. Mmmmhmm..
I’m so happy, so, so, so, so happy! These were way better than the regular store bought breads from the bakery. They taste so good and were fresh out of my oven.
