I got this sweet box from Natural Balance Foods .
Well, hello there….
Nakd bars have been my go to snacks this week and I’m loving every single one of them!
They’re not your typical snack bar. Each bar is gluten, wheat, and dairy free. There’s no added sugar/syrups and it contains raw fruit and nuts.
Nourishing & delicious. Cold-pressed, never baked.
“Wholefood smooshed together!“
Did I mention that these babies are packed with protein?
Cocoa Crunch tastes like a candy bar, it’s my favorite one. Actually, all of the bars with cocoa are probably the best ones, in my opinion. Even though I’m not really into fruity snacks, their Strawberry Crunch bar was really good.
They’re convenient, and I put a couple in my purse.. I’ve been known to get belligerent when I’m hungry. Obviously, I can’t just pull into the drive-thru or stop by a convenient store. These are a must!
Speaking of, to make a long story short…. After I was first diagnosed, I would buy trail mix when I was out and about. I mean, nuts and raisins, how ~natural~ can you get? Every time I ate trail mix, I would break out in rashes and my lips would swell up. It turns out, there was gluten in the trail mix. I guess it’s used to make the nuts in the mix shiny. WHAT?! Who cares about shiny nuts?
I put some in my office next to King Leonidas. That’s basically the face I make when my stomach is empty.
Gluten-free and vegan is NOT boring. I truly enjoy Nakd more than the regular stuff you see at the grocery store.
Check them out!
Have you ever tried Nakd bars? If so, what are your favorite flavors?
Nakd was kind enough to send me some products to enjoy. As usual, I promise to give my honest opinion.
