(I truly do!)
For months, Sarita has been telling me “YoNutz opened up by my house!” “We need to snack at YoNutz!”, at first I thought she was playing around, but she was serious. When we get together we tend to be annoying and have the sense of humor of little boys. Lately, she’s been to my neck of the woods, but has made it clear that I needed to visit ASAP so we could check out Yonutz.
I was in South FL this week, so you know what that means…
O HAPPY DAY!
Before I stepped foot into YoNutz, I knew I couldn’t eat their gourmet donuts. Of course I was bummed, but I knew there was gluten free options like froyo.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a staff member. She was very friendly and informative. I asked what their best seller was, which is their bacon maple donuts that fly off the shelves.
Miami Cream Pie, Cookies N Cream, Sea Salt & Caramel, Glazed Icing, and Creme Brulee donuts were out for the day.
And I can’t forget about Smores and Chocolate Coconut donuts.
I wanted to cry. I actually thought about eating one or twelve, suffer the consequences, and die happy.
They have gluten free muffins, which is great for people like me, but I’m going to be honest.. a muffin did not sound good after seeing those gorgeous donuts. The owner said that many celiacs or people with gluten intolerance purchase the muffins frequently and love them.
Random, but you can also order fresh squeezed OJ and hot cinnamon buns as well!
They had a wonderful assortment of frozen yogurt and soft serve gelato. They even mark the gluten free yogurts with green stickers. One flavor that caught my eye was Rice Krispy Treat froyo…. unffff.
Typical toppings bar
Any place with boba and mochi are good in my book.
I love YoNutz. They are conveniently located in a plaza full of restaurants and Ikea. The shop was very clean and staff were friendly. Even though I didn’t entertain the idea of eating a gluten free muffin, I appreciate them for having options for folks on a gluten free diet. They deserve and extra thumbs up for that. And of course, I love their name and the way they have fun with it. If you’re in the area, you need to check them out!
YoNutz is family owned by two sisters, their husbands and 5 kids between them!
