This post brought to you by Atlantic Luggage. The content and opinions expressed below are that of Annie A to Z.
I’d love to share my travel tips. I’ve also included a video below and a chance for you guys to win a family trip for four to New York or San Diego, courtesy of Atlantic Luggage and Delta Vacations! How exciting is that?! I know a lot of you are due for a vacation and I’m here to help!
The Atlantic Lumina collection is perfect for a traveling family. This collection introduces a contemporary satin look and feel to hardside luggage. Featuring a unique polyurethane finish on a sculpted hard shell, you have to touch Lumina to appreciate its rich, satin texture. Complete with a dual-wheel spinner system and expandable packing compartment, Lumina combines superior strength, looks and maneuverability with great value. The collection comes with a 10-year limited warranty. You can’t go wrong with Atlantic Luggage, it’s super versatile and lightweight. I have my eyes on the Odyssey Lite collection. 🙂
If I’m going away for a couple of days, I do whatever I can to not check my bag. I’m very impatient and waiting for for my checked bags is the last thing I want to do when I hit my destination. I’ve actually packed carry on for a week + trip, it’s an art.
If you’re a female, you’re in luck. Or if you’re a male that likes to wear dresses, you’re in luck too. I pack dresses, I don’t have to mess around with multiple pairs of pants, shirts, etc. I also don’t fold my clothing, I roll them. Rolling your apparel saves lots of room. Another great tip?Wear your bulkier items ON the plane (ie: boots, jeans, coats, sweaters).
I’m a germaphobe, but even if you’re not one, I think you should be prepared. Airplanes are so dirty! Yes, flying is my favorite way to travel, but I’m always grossed out when I think of all the germs I come in contact with. Don’t forget your hand sanitizer, antibacterial wipes (wipe down the arm rests & seat belts!), I even carry a flight friendly mini Lysol bottle. You can find them at the travel section in most drug stores.
I don’t care how healthy you are, I believe that everyone should carry a mini first aid kit. My kit has allergy pills, stomach pills (stomach issues when I travel is my worst nighmare! knock on wood!), cold/flu pills, tissues, and sleep aid. There’s been countless times that I didn’t sleep the night before my flight. I’ve been so tired that I can’t fall asleep, especially on a plane. Sleep aid helps me out so much. If you plan on sleeping on the plane, invest in a great eye mask to block out the sunlight! Did you know that denture cleaner can clean jewelry, disinfect your tooth brush, and can clean your retainers? I absolutely love denture cleaner, but I don’t like the looks I get when I buy it. I find myself smiling a lot to prove that my grill is real. Not shown above, but band aids and Neosporin is another must in your travel first aid kit. I’ve definitely needed both when I was away.
I personally like to purchase flight friendly sets, but my love got this for me in London. Molton Brown is one of my favorite lines, especially Pink Pepperpod. It’s spicy, sweet, and floral. I originally fell in love with their Black Pepper collection, which males love, but this is the feminine version of Black Pepper. I typically don’t care for floral or fruity, but all of the notes mixed together smells amazing. My other favorite lines to purchase flight friendly sets is Aveda and Lush. There’s a Lush store inside my airport, Orlando International Airport (MCO), and it’s very convenient for me!
Check out my favorite way of preventing leakage with any bottle. All you need is plastic wrap!
If you have dietary restrictions or love to snack, I suggest bringing your own snacks with you. I have been a member with Graze for over a year now, which are delicious, and convenient for travel. There’s also gluten free options!
Because flying makes your skin dry, you’ve got to give yourself some TLC..
Dermal Aqua Collagen Hydrating facial masks
Epic Blend Lip Balm
Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub (lickable, no need to wash off!)
Rohto Eye Drops
Avene Thermal Spring Water (your skin drinks this up so fast, it’s crazy!)
Another good idea is to have your tooth brush, tooth paste, baby wipes, deodorant, your favorite perfume, facial wipes, and makeup on hand. If you’ve been on the plane for awhile and meeting someone special when you land, you will want to freshen up a bit.
