You all know that game day is a big around these parts. Every Sunday, I try to come up with something different. I was stoked when Foster Farms reached out to collaborate because I had a great experience with them last December . They’re actually my guilty pleasure and my friends are fans because they’re made out of chicken, have better ingredients and gluten free. They don’t mind feeding their kiddos Foster Farms!
Okay, back to game day. I wanted to do childhood classics, I couldn’t imagine anyone not being excited over it. I mean, a few weeks ago, We did Taco + Beer night and ran 2 miles in the sprinklers. We are big kids at heart 🙂
On the menu:
Foster Farms Gluten Free Corn Dogs w/ cheese dip, queso blanco, and sriracha ketchup
Parmesan Parsley Tater Tots
Spiked Root Beer Floats
So simple, baked for 18-20 min.
Follow directions on the bag of tots. I baked mine. Add freshly chopped parley, shredded parmesan. Add salt and pepper to taste
I bought the caramel apples.. ha
I found these cardboard boxes at the Target $1 section.
Adding parchment paper to the boxes make perfect tot holders.
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons sriracha
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed juice from 1 lime
- 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh cilantro leaves
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
Whisk together ketchup, sriracha, honey, lime juice, cilantro, and vinegar in a small bowl.
1 lb White American Cheese
2 4 oz cans of diced green chiles, undrained
1 1/2 cup heavy cream
Simmer all in a saucepan until smooth
4 Tablespoons of butter
1 large onion
4 tablespoons flour (All purpose gluten free)
2 cups of milk
1 lb of cheddar cheese
I made these dips because they were either savory or added a nice spicy kick. They paired so well with the corn dogs, everyone thought it was genius instead of using the usual ketchup + mustard.
For the spiked root beer floats, I used Not Your Father’s Root Beer + French Vanilla ice cream.
Scoop the vanilla ice cream in your glass and pour away.
Even though my team has had a really disappointing start to the season, our tummies were happy. Do you ever make childhood classics with an adult twist? I need some more inspiration, let me know below! This was so much fun!
