When I think of the Superbowl, not so healthy food and beer come to mind. Since so many of us made resolutions to be our best and live a healthy lifestyle, I decided to share some of my favorite healthy game day dishes.
I love Guacamole but some people add unnecessary ingredients like cheese and sour cream.
Avocados are high in good fat, but you still need to watch the calories.
I love Greek Yogurt Guacamole because it’s yummy with extra protein!
4 ripened Avocados from Mexico
1 cup of nonfat Greek yogurt
6 tsp of fresh lime juice
half a cup of diced tomatoes
2 tbs of cilantro
2 tbs of chopped red onions
salt and pepper to taste
Instead of using ground beef for tacos, use lean ground turkey.
I love using Old El Paso’s Taco kits.
Lean ground turkey can be SO dry, but the trick is to use tomato paste. Follow the Old El Paso cooking and instructions but add the tomato paste after you throw in the seasoning. 😉
Add your toppings.
You’re good to go! There was no need to add cheese or sour cream. Super tasty without going overboard with the calories!
