Blowing out my hair is a chore, but on top of my DIY blow out, I usually finish my hairdo with a flat iron or curling wand. All of the hair tools give so much heat, it feels like a sauna, which defeats the purpose of doing your hair. I’ve figured out some great tips to stay cool while styling your mane.
Bathe with Dr. Bronner’s 18-In-1 Hemp Peppermint Pure Castile Soap. Not only is this cleanser organic, but the peppermint oil makes you feel cool and refreshed. Minutes after my shower, I can still feel the cooling effect. I stay away from this soap during the winter months because it makes me feel so cold!
This dry spray is formulated to speed up the drying process. The product contains moisture wicking silicones and argan oil which cuts styling time in half. This is so awesome, I can’t live without it!
No matter how low I turn down my a/c, I still feel like it isn’t enough as I use hot tools. When Culer offered to send me their SOLO to try out, I thought it would be the perfect product to test out while I do my hair. This personal flash-evaporative air cooler not only blows out air, but has the option of misting. Sure, you could use a fan, which only blows out air. The purpose of the Culer is to actually cool the small area you’re in, which is perfect for personal use. Another great feature is the mister, but it doesn’t spray water everywhere, creating puddles. Most misting devices are to be used outdoors because they leave water all of the place. Not Culer.
I cannot explain the science behind this machine, but check it out here. My air conditioner died last month. It was five days of pure hell, but guess what saved me? The Culer. It seriously became my best friend that week.
I love that the nozzle moves up and down so I can adjust how the air hits me.
Easy to use.
Wash your hair at night. Homes tend to be a bit cooler at night, especially since the sun isn’t beating down on it.
Air dry your hair as long as you can and then finish off with your blow out.
Set your hair with the cooling button. It seals the hair cuticle, adds shine.
How do you stay cool while doing your hair?
Culer was kind enough to send me their product to try out. As always, I give my honest opinion.
