Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), the prominent media company amongst Hispanic America held a very exciting press conference to announce that Kissimmee, Florida will be the host city of the first-ever international youth soccer tournament which will be held at the exclusive Omni Orlando Resort at Champions Gate Sports Field Complex from December 18-22, 2017.
The bidding process for the host city was conducted last December which had the interest of cities across America to host the global U-12 soccer event. As someone who resides in Central Florida, I’m thrilled that Kissimmee was chosen. Experience Kissimmee, the destination marketing organization for Osceola County, will collaborate with UCI Live to bring Prospects Cup to the city later this year.
“Soccer is a sport that unites us globally and across languages — with that in mind, we want to foster the talent and love for the sport with our youth with the launch of Prospects Cup in Kissimmee,” said Rick Alessandri, executive vice president of Enterprise Development and head of UCI Live. “Prospects Cup builds on the efforts by Univision Deportes, the home of soccer in the U.S., to celebrate culture and diversity while showcasing tomorrow’s best and brightest soccer players.”
