Living in Florida kind of makes me an ice cream expert. I swear, I indulge on cool treats a few times a week, all year long. My first mochi experience was at my favorite sushi spot a little over a decade ago. I’m open to trying new thing, but I had never eaten anything like it. Let’s just say I’ve been addicted ever since I’ve devoured these little bites of happiness.
This confection is created with Japanese mochi (pounded sticky rice), filled with ice cream. The soft and chewy texture makes ice cream better, trust me.
I recently discovered my/mo mochi ice cream and I can’t get enough of it.
I’m sure you all have seen the mochi bars and shops pop up all over the U.S but not everyone has access to them. What I love about my/mo is how fresh the mochi ice cream was. Also, convenience. You can pick up a box (or three!) at your local grocery store.
Not only delicious but so cute!
Traditional Japanese flavors are: green tea, mung bean, vanilla, coffee and strawberry but mo/my mochi has an American twist.
I stocked up on sweet mango, cookies & cream, vanilla bean and double chocolate. Click here to find the nearest locations and what flavors they offer so you can stay cool this summer!
Have you tried mochi ice cream? What is your favorite?
