A few weeks ago, my girls from Philadelphia blessed me with their presence. As much as I wanted to see them, I tried to talk them out of visiting me. Even though I was born and raised in Florida, I’m not a fan our summer heat. The humidity will do a number on you. First, I feel like I can’t breathe because the air is so thick. Second, I’m constantly soaked in seat. Third, my hair isn’t cute.
Regardless of the heat, my 215 Girls showed up. It was my goal to take them to my favorite locations. You know I had to introduce them to my Universal and Loews family.
Since I document everything, it’s important to have my hair on point. Hair Cuttery sent me two products that quickly became my summer faves. One of them was already a favorite but they recently improved the formula.
- Shake, spray and brush KA POW through to:
- Absorb oil
- Extend the life of your blowout
- Increase volume and make hair appear thicker and fuller
- Creates sexy, tousled texture
- Avoid the blow-dryer
- Correct product overload
- Add grip for easy up dos
- This new & improved formula has more oil absorbing powders. What I liked about this dry shampoo from the beginning was it’s smell, how affordable it is and how it made my hair feel clean. You can get away with not washing your hair for a few days with this new formula. Thumbs up!
All day volume and texture
Acai powder promotes strength and thickness
Ideal for thin, fine hair
This non-aerosol spray creates texture while it holds finished looks/slept in texture all day. I personally never liked texture powders, but this spray is awesome. When my hair is damp, I spray my hand, and add a little bit to my hair. A little goes a long way. I blow dry and style my hair, spray my hand again, rub into my beach curls. Ta-da. Perfect textured hair!
Spending a couple days at Universal Orlando in the middle of August would be the ultimate test.
I say both products are winners. My hair looked so pretty in this summer heat!
I may be a little biased but the Loews Royal Pacific Resort is my favorite resort on Universal property. This tropical paradise has white sands, a sparkling lagoon pool and exotic eats.
Royal Pacific guests have the ultimate vacation experience because they enjoy the Universal Express Unlimited™ pass to skip the regular lines at participating rides and attractions at Universal Studios Florida™ and Universal’s Islands of Adventure™.
Harry Potter fans? Early Park Admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ and Universal’s Volcano Bay™ one hour before the theme park opens to the public.
Getting around this Universal property is a piece of cake. There’s plenty of walking paths, water taxis and shuttles.
What makes this resort unique is a torch lighting ceremony performed every evening featuring the “oli aloha” welcoming chant, a fire dancer and more.
Live music, hula and fire dancers
Wantilan Luau where guests can enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet that includes pit-roasted suckling pig, soy marinated beef flank steak, Pacific catch of the day, tropical fruits, desserts and more. Mai tais, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages are included. Children enjoy their own buffet with kid-friendly favorites.

Last but not least Jake’s Beer Festival takes place under the outdoor Wantilan Pavilion at Loews Royal Pacific Resort.
