Thank you, Erborian Korean Skincare and Drybar for making this post possible.
I’ve been telling everyone how chaotic Miami Swim Week is for months. As much as I love attending events, it’s a bit draining and guess what, I’ve met it’s match.. Art Basel. I’ve spent most of my teen and adult life in this city and have never been to the famous art fair. To be completely honest, most people in my circle have never been. There’s a running joke how everyone avoids the beach and Wynwood because of the influx of tourists.
When Erborian and Drybar invited me for a blow out and makeup touch up, I didn’t even think twice to say “yes!”. Drybar is one of my favorite places to get my hair done and I’ve seen Erborian Korean Skin Care product reviews on Youtube lately. Plus, because of all the traffic, it has taken me an hour and a half to two hours to even get to Miami Beach. The invite came at the perfect time!
Drybar South Beach is tucked away 16th Street. It’s located near Espanola Way and there’s a parking garage super close to the salon. If you’re staying at the beach, you can either walk or Uber. Another great tip is, if you plan on having dinner or a night out in the area, you can stop by to get your hair done. It’s in a very convenient location.
Drybar’s philosophy is: Focus on one thing and be the best at it.
For them, it’s blow outs!
For me, it’s drinking mimosas and taking a nap.
I absolutely loved their washing station. The chairs are incredibly comfortable and so was the sink area. Getting your hair washed is relaxing but a lot of the times, the salon sinks are uncomfortable. Fortunately, Drybar got it right! Here I am with Maja Malnar and Erin Nicole.
Drybar has a selection of their very own products for your every need, they even carry their own hair tools.
My stylist used Prep Rally prime and prep detangler, Southern Belle volumizing mousse and Texas Tea volumizing hair spray. At the end, she sprayed Mai Tai sea salt on my locks. I was excited about all of this because these are the exact steps/products I use on my hair at home.. detangler, mousse, volumizing spray and sea salt. A lot of maintenance goes into this mane. I felt confident in my stylist after we discussed what products were going into my hair. The style I chose was the Cosmo, which is loose curls.
They even carry travel sized products. This worked out for me because I forgot my dry shampoo/texturizing spray. Triple Sec smells delicious, I had to have it. This formula keeps your blow out looking fresh, even days after. So far, so good!
My stylist spent a little bit over an hour on my hair from wash to the very end. That’s a fantastic amount of time because my hair is very thick and long.
It was time to try out Erborian Korean Skin Care. Over the last few months, I’ve noticed girls on Youtube talking about their CC cream. I’m familiar with BB cream, but never tried CC cream. I was intrigued by this brand because it’s actually Korean skin care, Korean/French to be exact but I just feel like a lot of USA brands can’t seem to get it right when Korea has been the OG in all this BB/CC cream technology.
BB cream actually started in Germany because women wanted coverage after laser treatments, but Korea has perfected this formula and ran with it.
Erborian, which is “Herbs of the Orient” was created by a scientist and beauty globetrotter with a mission to create innovative products that are made in Seoul, Korea. Inspired by Korean traditions, the ground breaking creams reveal luminosity, radiance and younger looking skin.
“The Korean secret to a visibly perfect complexion is in high-tech, multi-use formulas to help improve the appearance of your skin, making it look luminous and soft. These intelligent, hybrid formulas transform your skin to give it the appearance of a velvety, ultra-soft finish. CC Creme HD is a multi-purpose formula: this “High Definition” illuminator, with its fine texture for medium to deeper skin tones, contains encapsulated pigments to enhance your skin’s beauty. Upon application it adapts to your skin tone, naturally revealing a more even, more beautiful complexion.CC Creme HD, is made with the Centella Asiatica, which helps to protect, hydrate and boost radiance while helping to unify and camouflage dehydration fine lines and refine the appearance of skin’s texture. It also helps to conceal your imperfections.Soft and radiant, your skin looks flawless, in “High Definition”.”
My skin is combo (oily/normal) and sensitive. The cream goes on white but when you rub it into your skin with your hands (do not use a beauty blender or brush), it activates the cream and matches your skin tone. It truly color corrects and has a silky velvet finish. I enjoyed this product but I want to wear it a couple of times before I rave about it. Stay tuned for an upcoming post with my thoughts/review!
Thank you so much Drybar and Erborian Korean Skincare for this awesome opportunity. Have any of you tried the #CCTheChange CC cream?
